Sebastian Korda
Sebastian Korda is the latest youngster from the USA to emerge on the ATP tour and is often dubbed to become the flag bearer of his country which has produced so many tennis greats. Korda turned Pro in 2018 at the age of 18 at the ATP New York Open 2018 where he was handed a wildcard to enter the main draw directly.
He had his big breakthrough at the 2020 French Open where he made it to the 4th round after starting as a qualifier only to be defeated by defending and eventual champion Rafael Nadal. Korda won his first-ever ATP title at the 2021 Emilia-Romagna Open held in Parma, Italy on outdoor Clay, becoming the first American to win on European soil in 11 years.
He had also made it to the finals of the Delray Beach Open 2021 but was unfortunate to lose in the finals to Polish youngster Hubert Hurkacz. He entered Wimbledon 2021 as World No. 50 and reached the 4th round becoming the youngest American since Andy Roddick reached the semi-finals of the 2003 Wimbledon.
In his debut run at the Wimbledon Championships, Sebastian Korda became the 8th player to reach the 4th round of the French Open and Wimbledon before his 21st birthday, a list that consists of the trio of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.

Know about Sebastian Korda’s parents and his family
Sebastian was born on 5th July 2000 to Petr Korda and Regina Rajchrtova, both professional tennis players from Czechoslovakia, while Petr later went on to represent the Czech Republic. Regina was a regular in the Top-30 WTA rankings reaching a career-high rank of World No. 26.
His father Petr is the 1998 Australian Open champion who also made it to the finals of the French Open in both the Singles (1992) and Doubles event(1990). Petr was the World No. 2 for quite some time and had the chance to become the No. 1 on numerous occasions but unfortunately couldn’t.
Sebastian is the youngest of 3 kids having two elder sisters. Jessica Korda and Nelly Korda are elder sisters of Sebastian. Both are professional Golfers playing on the LPGA Tour and made their debut as teenagers similar to their brother Sebastian. Jessica hasn’t yet made her mark as compared to Nelly who has been ranked World No. 1 and won the Tour seven times.
