Tyson ‘TenZ‘ Ngo, who was born on May 5th, 2001, is a Canadian player. TenZ is one of the most mechanically inclined players in the Valorant space. TenZ is arguably the Best Valorant player of North America as well as the World but TenZ in Contract Jail after winning the 1st ever Valorant LAN event VCT Masters Stage 2 Iceland.

TenZ currently plays for Sentinels on loan from Cloud9 Blue. On January 12, TenZ stepped down from Cloud9 to pursue a career in content creation. TenZ signed his 3 years long contract with Cloud9 when he was only 18 years old.

In March, following the controversy surrounding Valorant player and former Overwatch League MVP Sinatra, Tenz joined Sentinels as a stand-in for the Valorant Champions Tour. TenZ performed really well in Valorant Champions Tour Challengers Stage 2 and then Sentinels extended TenZ’s loan period. Then TenZ participated in VCT Masters Stage 2 Iceland with Sentinels.
Now the question is, How long can Sentinels keep TenZ?
Cloud 9 has set a buyout clause of $1,000,000 for the 20-year-old. Can Sentinels afford that?
Former Cloud9 player Spencer “Hiko” Martin has recently exposed the politics in esports and has claimed that he doesn’t think that TenZ and Cloud9 will be parting ways soon. He also added, “As somebody who has been in Cloud 9 and knows how the esports politic works, if you think that TenZ is getting off of Cloud 9 you are sadly mistaken”
After TenZ won VCT Masters Stage 2 Grand Final against Fnatic, The owner of Cloud9 Twitted a meme saying “Money in the bank”
Although most of the community as well as former pros like shroud laugh off this as a joke but former C9 pro Sean Gares got furious about this matter.

Sean “Sgares” Gares is widely known as a analyst and caster now. He used to be a Pro in Cloud9 CSGO roster and he know the inner circle politics of esports organizations very well.
He said it is not funny that the best Valorant player is stuck in a contract jail. He further said, “That’s our best player NA stuck in contract jail. How is it hilarious at all that he’s stuck in contract jail for signing a 3-year contract when he was a near-minor?”
TenZ said, “This is the best team I have ever had and I really want to stay with them” but Will Cloud9 let TenZ go? Can Sentinels afford TenZ?
