Hounding public figures, for instance, wrestlers, is just a sad state of affairs. Prima facie, it’s meant to bridge the lacuna between fans and whoever they admire. However, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker doesn’t even consider those stalking at airports as fans. Recently, The Deadman recounted one of his forgettable experiences with such marks. Later on, he even brought up an instance where Rhea Ripley got the worst of it.
Speaking on the Busted Open Radio, Taker called Pittsburgh the hotspot for such people who just casually show up with huge binders of photographs for the wrestlers to sign. The WWE icon admitted that he tried to be as accommodating to them as he could when he wasn’t traveling with his family. Undertaker said that they’re not fans, but money-seekers.
The 59-year-old then turned his attention to a clip he saw online where Rhea Ripley was heckled by a throng at an airport. She was stuck at the check-in counter, and a guy kept constantly bugging the Aussie grappler to autograph pictures after pictures. What a pity, Mami. The Phenom even recalled talking to Rhea through the screen, as he wanted her to turn around.
I saw something online where Rhea Ripley gets caught at the check-in counter and this guy is just handing her picture after picture after picture after picture. I'm talking to Rhea through the thing that I'm watching and I'm like just turn around. That pisses me off....The Undertaker on Rhea Ripley getting harassed at an airport
Last year, in March, Ripley even cautioned those wrongdoers to learn accepting a refusal. There have been numerous instances in the past where these arduous in-ring performers got huddled up in public settings.
There was one footage of Ripley being bothered by a bunch of lollygaggers. In the video, The Eradicator was visibly fatigued but kept signing whatever she was asked for. It was such a mess out there that The Nightmare had to ask the crowd if she could leave.
Rhea Ripley is currently out of action nursing her damaged AC joint
For the foreseeable future, fans won’t be getting a glimpse of Rhea Ripley on WWE television. She’s out with an injury that she picked up while brawling with Liv Morgan on Raw post-WrestleMania XL.
It was described as a freak accident. Nonetheless, it forced the Judgment Day member to vacate her Women’s World Championship. The title was then won by Becky Lynch in a battle royal on a subsequent edition of Monday Night Raw.
Morgan, who’s the kayfabe culprit in Rhea’s case, has been oozing vitriol for the Australian wrestler ever since. They seem pegged to battle it out once The Eradicator is healed up. For now, what Liv can do is capture the Women’s World title at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE in Jeddah on June 25.
