WWE superstars entering the world of movies is nothing new. John Cena and The Rock have already established themselves as top Hollywood superstars. Meanwhile, others have begun a successful career expansion into the entertainment industry. Another superstar who was looking to enter the world of acting was Damian Priest. However, things did not end up working out for him.

A few years ago, there were rumors of the Puerto Rican appearing in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. He was asked about the same while speaking with Chris Van Vliet, and some shocking details were revealed. He mentioned that the role was taken away from him, but not by Marvel. While discussing the topic, he seemed highly disappointed and upset about the situation. This led many to speculate that Damian Priest was unable to take part in the movie because of Vince McMahon.

Vince McMahon was notorious for not letting his wrestlers take up roles elsewhere. Mercedes Mone had similar allegations to make about her former boss for making it very hard for her to take time off for her role in The Mandalorian. Had Priest gotten to take part in the movie, he would have played the role of Namor, a character who was then played by Tenoch Huerta in the movie.

Priest’s fellow Raw superstar Drew McIntyre is also looking to make his mark in the entertainment industry. He will star in an action movie titled ‘The Killer’s Game’ alongside Dave Bautista and other huge names.

During the same interview, Priest was asked if he would like to play another part in the MCU. The 41-year-old responded by saying that although he was now busier than ever, he was open to the idea. However, he believed had he gone that route in the past, he may not have gotten the chance to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL and may have ended up elsewhere.

WWE superstars have a lot of history with the MCU. Dave Bautista got his big break in acting through Guardians of the Galaxy. Becky Lynch was supposedly in the Eternals but was later cut from the movie. Furthermore, her husband, Seth Rollins, is also rumored to appear in Captain America: Brave New World next year.
