The driver lineup at VCARB is undergoing rebranding, with Daniel Ricciardo possibly leaving before the USA GP. Red Bull and Christian Horner had mentioned, the team is looking for Liam Lawson as the next driver. However, the 50-year-old didn’t hesitate to include George Russell’s name in the list despite his contract until the end of 2025.
This was displeasing for Toto Wolff, who stated that Horner always tries to stir s*** up, viewing it as part of the game.

Wolff clarified that Russell is a Mercedes driver and has always been one. Wolff doesn’t want to lose him, especially after losing a star driver like Lewis Hamilton next year. Toto Wolff believes it is an ‘excrement’ after swearing in a statement talking bout Christian Horner
Toto Wolff used the word ‘s***’ while expressing Horner’s plan. The 52-year-old was asked if he was worried about facing community service for swearing. Wolff stated that the situation is ridiculous with the swearing ban.
Wolff stated that it’s the natural part of life, comparing it to going to the toilet. He emphasized that discussing these matters wasn’t like having a direct conversation with someone but more like dealing with something uncomfortable and necessary.
This is an excrement. It's very natural, It's not like having interaction with someone, but it's like going to the toilet.Toto Wolff explained
Certainly, Wolff believes the rules about swearing on team radios and during conferences are pointless, as it’s hard to control emotions in the heat of the moment. Max Verstappen was the first victim when he cursed his car setup in Baku and received a penalty for it.
