Toto Wolff brushes off concern about Max Verstappen’s giant 10-race record, says ‘we don’t care, noone reads Wikipedia’
Toto Wolff does not want to be bothered with Max Verstappen's gigantic Formula One records because he does not care about some 'Wikipedia' information.

The records are now set in stone as Max Verstappen has beaten all odds to score 10 perfect wins at back to back Formula One races. With this, he has broken the record of a previous Red Bull racer who had a similar surge in performance during his tenure at the Austrian team–Sebastian Vettel. The German was virtually unbeatable during his days under Christian Horner from 2010 till 2013, and he surpassed heavyweight rivals like Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Nico Rosberg among others. And now, it seems Max Verstappen has emerged as Vettel’s rightful Red Bull successor.
At this point, Red Bull have totally turned the table on Mercedes after the Stuttgart outfit managed to keep their winning streak for 8 long years. Lewis Hamilton himself had said the chances of Max not winning any of the remaining races is slim since him and his entire support staff make next to no mistakes out on the tracks. That has led the 25-year-old to win 10 races in a row this year, with zero victories for both the Mercedes as well as Ferrari racers.
Silver Arrows Boss Toto Wolff would supposedly not be too happy about Max Verstappen’s obvious dominance in F1 right now. With the new F1 world record, fans would suppose that the Mercedes CEO would be even more determined to make sure his team beats Max Verstappen at least once this season. But in Wolff’s own words, he is not too concerned about the record since he said, “I don’t think he [Max] cares too much about records. Neither do we, because I don’t think anyone reads Wikipedia.”
Toto Wolff subtly alleges that Sergio Perez’s sole aim at Red Bull is to make Max Verstappen win

Max Verstappen’s 10-race-win record is most presumably the product of the continued efforts of the entire Red Bull team, including the Dutchman’s teammate Sergio Perez. While Perez himself was vying for the Championship this year initially, he fell back in the run and now, Toto believes Checo is no longer fighting against Max, rather he is fighting for the 25-year-old to make sure he wins every race.
Thus, when Toto Wolff was asked why Lewis never achieved this 10-race feat during Mercedes’ Nico-Lewis and Valtteri-Lewis eras, he said, “Our position [when they were dominant] was different because we had two cars fighting against each other.”
On the other hand, Ferrari have apparently improved by leaps and bounds since they scored a result at today’s Italian GP. Indeed, they could not beat the mighty Red Bull’s with their SC-23, but the Tifosis are happy they had one driver from the Maranello outfit go up on the podium in their home ground. Now, it remains to be seen whether Ferrari can successfully extend this streak of good performance, or if they fall prey to poor strategies and novice mess-ups once again.
