The anticipation is palpable as the UFC 314 PPV event takes shape on April 12 at the Kaseya Center. Alexander Volkanovski, UFC’s former pound-for-pound topper and divisional king, headlines the affair. He meets surging featherweight and now title contender Diego Lopes for the vacant title. As such, both their UFC 314 payouts and fight purses are to reflect what’s at stake here.
On the feature PPV co-headliner, Michael Chandler meets Paddy Pimblett in a five-round lightweight scrap. Both are exciting fighters despite having contentious fanbases nitpicking. The pair of 155-pounders are sure to take the action through the roof. Accordingly, their fighter payouts might reflect the same.
UFC and athletic commissions are no longer in the habit of releasing fight purse tidbits. But this card is ridiculously stacked to the brim with exciting options. Here is a brief look at their previous payday history and credentials to determine what they can take home after the weekend.
Salary of Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 314
Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkanovski has a recorded fighter compensation and payday of around $11,827,833. His first biggest estimated payout was against the gritty Max Holloway in their UFC 251 rematch ($1,173,333). It set the tone of what the Aussie legend would go on to be.
Volk used to bag a fighter base bracket of $300,000 back then. He did much the same against Brian Ortega, making $400,000 in PPV payouts and $50,000 in win bonuses. His salary totaled around $792,000 in disclosed payouts.

Alexander Volkanovski entered the $500,000 bracket/ $500,000 bonus fold vs. Chan Sung Jung. He punctuated $600,000 in PPV payouts and a $70,000 win bonus. Volk’s total fight purse was $1,712,000. He made around $200,000 PPV pay and a $20,000 bonus ($1,262,000 all-in) in another run at Holloway.
The UFC 314 headliner star would enter the $1,500,000 base salary bracket against Islam Makhachev for the first time around. Volkanovski would substantiate 500,000 PPV buyouts ($1,992,000 all-in) for his dual-dip title effort at 155 pounds. The second time, the Aussie man would make a $1,500,000 base in fighter purse, $850,000 PPV payouts, and a sum of around $2,392,000. He made similarly with Ilia Topuria when he lost his belt.
Now, at UFC 314, the former 145-pound Great will make a guaranteed fight purse of $750k and base to enter his name in the hat for the vacant crown. Further, this will enlist PPV shares, bonuses, and sponsorships should he win and punctuate another reign. He also entered the $42,000 sponsorship fold to enter as champ against Ortega, per the Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout tiers. He would earn in the same bracket for the vacant featherweight belt.
Salary of Diego Lopes at UFC 314
The Brazilian star Diego Lopes is a proper breakout case for the 2024 fighter ballot. After dropping a short-notice debut, he reeled off 5-0, stacking wins. Lopes made a fighter purse base bracket of $150,000 for his short-notice effort against Dan Ige.
The 30-year-old was part of the milestone UFC 300 PPV card, the most important the promotion has ever thrown out. He made a $50,000 base/ $50,000 bonus, along with a $100,000 performance bonus ($204,500 all-in). Diego Lopes made $582,500 against Pat Sabatini.

As such, this is his first PPV headliner spot, and his fighter purses show that. Lopes will go on to make $500k guaranteed, which can easily range from $750-800k and above. This would also include PPV shares and bonuses if he wins and grabs the vacant belt.
Per the Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout tiers, he’ll make $32k in compliance sponsorship pays. With Venum’s outfitting policy at play, he should also earn perpetuity royalty payments of merch sold in his likeness. Lopes’ opponent, the seasoned Alexander Volkanovski, recently got his new threads for UFC 314. So, his perpetuity payments have already kicked off as such.
Salary of Michael Chandler at UFC 314
Explosive lightweight Michael Chander made his UFC debut against Dan Hooker, earning in the $250,000 payout bracket. He made $303,500 all-in for the affair. ‘Iron’ would get a UFC 155-pound title crack in his sophomore account against Charles Oliveira, but would fumble it.

Michael Chandler yet again made a base bracket of $350,000 against Justin Gaethje with a $50,000 performance bonus ($404,000 all-in payout). Concurrently, he would next earn a $500,000 base/ $500,000 win bonus for his knockout against Tony Ferguson at UFC 274. He snagged a $70,000 performance bonus ($1,074,500 all-in).
This has been a thematic case with Chandler. He has won post-fight performance bonuses in five of his six UFC outings. Accordingly, he made the same against Dustin Poirier and again with Oliveira. At UFC 309, he made a base bracket of $1,000,000, along with $50,000 in performance bonus for a $1,056,000 total fighter payout. At UFC 314, he is sure to make a guaranteed $500k, and $21k in compliance sponsorship pays.
Salary of Paddy Pimblett at UFC 314
Paddy Pimblett is a good draw with the English fanbase, but is a true wildcard here. After his first two wins, ‘Baddy’ revealed his contractual agreement of only $12,000 to win and $12,000 to show. Back then, the post-fight handouts were the real bonus for the young fighter. He and Molly McCann got a Rolex from avid bettor Drake for winning a prop that netted him $3.7 million on the money-line payout.

Due to his incredible drawing power, he recently received a new six-figure deal after last July’s Manchester PPV. The Englishman also substantiated a 7-figure sponsorship deal with Barstool Sports after he signed with the promotion. Pimblett’s true leap in fight purses was against Jordan Leavitt, when he made the base jump from $12,000 to $150,000. He also made $150,000 base bracket/ $150,000 in win bonus ( $304,500 all-in) vs. Jared Gordon.
Paddy Pimblett made $150,000 base/ $150,000 win bonus in payouts for fading out Ferguson next at UFC 296. He made a $200,000 base/ $200,000 win bonus ($606,000 all-in) for his first-round submission of King Green. Pimblett is to take home $400k in guaranteed fight purse along with $21k in compliance sponsorship earnings at UFC 314.
