UFC fighter hints at a potential deal between Kayla Harrison and the UFC

Chris Daukaus made a bold announcement on his Twitter page and it immediately blew up as rumors start spreading about a potential new signing added to the UFC roster.
Chris Daukaus is the current No. 7 ranked heavyweight fighter in the UFC and isn’t exactly as famous as his fellow heavyweight counterparts Francis Ngannou, Ciryl Gane, Derrick Lewis, and others.
Though he is verified on Twitter, he has a mere 7,000+ followers compared to the other UFC fighters, but in this particular case, his tweet about the UFC making a mega signing almost immediately blew up becoming his most liked and shared tweet.
Maybe he did it in order to catch attention, to play a joke, or he genuinely believes that the UFC signed a megastar, whatever the case the tweet goes as, “UFC signed Kayla Harrison, you’re welcome and i have no sources.”
The UFC had established that they communicated with the Olympic goal medalist on potentially joining their ranks and even Kayla Harrison herself said, “I had dinner with some people” referring to the UFC officials, but nothing about a signing has been confirmed by either so it all depends on the readers and how they view the tweet.
Fans retweeted asking how he knew if he had no sources to which Daukaus replied, “Fart came out weird and that’s usually the tell tale sign.”
However, if Kayla Harrison decides that the UFC is her next destination, she will have to drop down to the 145-pound division as she currently fights at lightweight (155 pounds) in the PFL and many fans and pundits consider that the toughest competition that the American can face at featherweight is Amanda Nunes and we totally agree with that one.
What are Kayla Harrison’s options and where could she end up?
One of MMA’s biggest stars, Kayla Harrison became a free agent after her $1 million playoff win wherein, she became a two-time PFL champion.
With many promotions vying for her signature, we look at the three most possible destinations for the two-time Olympic gold medallist.
UFC could be her most favorable destination as no other promotion would help build your brand or name much like the UFC and she even made it clear that she wants to fight Amanda Nunes when she said on The MMA Hour, “Like, I don’t want to fight her, but I want to fight her. I’m in a position where I want to be the best — she’s the best. It’s not personal, it’s just business.”
Bellator MMA has also been in touch with Scott Corker saying, “She is one hell of a fighter and I think really for her to take her career to the next level she’s got to come fight Cyborg” and Harrison herself called Cris Cyborg, the current Bellator featherweight champion, a trailblazer and made it known she would love to fight her for the title.
Rejoining the PFL at least for another year is something the promotion considers a dream scenario and her coach Anderson Franca said, “Myself as a coach, I think she could stay one more year at PFL and go step by step, but I don’t know how the financial part is.”
Wherever she decides to go, Kayla Harrison deserves a contract that’s worth her skill as she’s someone who can establish herself as the ‘GOAT’ among women fighters.
