The spotlight is on Gable Steveson right now. Ever since the wrestler from the University of Minnesota struck gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, a ton of promotions including WWE, UFC and Bellator have been after him. He won the Gold Medal in the men’s freestyle wrestling 125kg category. Barring the finals, he had in fact demolished each and every opponent of his.

Ariel Helwani caught up with Gable Steveson in the latest episode of MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. Steveson discussed his future plans and was almost certain of a move to the WWE or the UFC and becoming a big star there. He also revealed that he hasn’t been approached by the AEW yet.

Helwani then presented Steveson with his own piece of advice. The famed reporter asked him to take the Brock Lesnar route, by becoming a monster in the WWE and later joining the UFC. One thing was certain, Steveson will soon be joining either the WWE or the UFC.

Steveson was quoted as saying, “My goal is to get to the WWE and be a big superstar. My goal is to get to the UFC and be a big superstar… There’s two ways, I can go to the UFC and try to be the baddest man on the planet. And, go to the WWE and be the baddest man there as well. I want the biggest organizations that are gonna put forth my name in a respectful way. I know AEW can do its job, but I’ve never been approached. We’ll see if they approach.” [h/t firstsportz.com]

Asking Steveson to take the Lesnar route Helwani suggested that he should probably approach Paul Heyman, who has been responsible for kickstarting many a successful career in the WWE. Helwani was trying his best to get as much information as possible from Steveson since the wrestler also suggested that he had already planned on where he was heading to next.
