The conversation took a deep dive into the realm of mythical creatures in the recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience. Joe Rogan and guests for the episode, Tony Hinchcliffe and Hans Kim, tackled the legend of the Kraken and other mythical sea monsters. The trio discussed various things ranging from the origins to the cultural impact of the Kraken on JRE.
People say that the Kraken, a mythical sea beast, dwells off the coasts of the Scandinavian countries. The trio dissected the Kraken in typical JRE fashion, blending humor with curiosity. Joe Rogan led the charge about the possible existence of mythical creatures in the unexplored ocean. Hinchcliffe contributed with sharp wit, and Kim offered a lighter take. This is what Rogan had to say about the Kraken.
You don't even know what's in the ocean. You think it's filled with monsters, right? So it's dark out, dude, it's dark out, and you're just looking in the ocean. They did not have a good account of all the sea creatures; it was just pure guesswork. That's why so much of the artwork from that era, that part of the world, that part, that time in the world, you see ships and monsters like Octopus arms grabbing the Kraken grabbing the boat.Joe Rogan via JRE.

Kim responded to Rogan’s queries with a question. Kim had an interesting thought about whether the Kraken could have been real and what might have happened to it. This is what Kim had to say.
Do you think that could have been real 500 years ago? Because maybe the animals were different. Maybe we killed them with their boats.Hans Kim via JRE
The JRE is a podcast where the guest and topic of discussion are very entertaining. It does not come as a surprise to see Rogan and his guest discuss the Kraken. Rogan and his guests in the recent UFC 294 fight companion episode even discussed Abraham Lincoln wrestling in Russia.
Joe Rogan to return to the commentary booth at UFC 295
The UFC did not do domestic pay-per-views in two months. The last domestic PPV for the UFC was UFC 292 in Boston. UFC 293 in Australia followed it, and UFC 294 took place in Abu Dhabi later. Due to other obligations, Rogan was absent from both events, with Laura Sanko and Paul Felder replacing him at UFC 293 and UFC 294, respectively.

However, fans are excited to hear that Rogan would return to the commentary booth with PPV mainstays Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier. Moreover, Chael Sonnen will also appear at the event as a desk analyst with Anthony Smith and Teddy Atlas.
It also needs to be noted that Rogan is a divisive figure in commentary. Some sections of the fans enjoy Rogan, but others see him as unnecessary. Before Rogan took off with his podcast, he was present as a commentator on almost all the events. However, with other obligations, Rogan is deemed to be not knowledgeable about the fighters he is commentating on.
