Joe Rogan recently revealed the existence of an underground fight club to rapper Post Malone on his podcast. Rogan described a hidden world of fighting where participants allegedly paid extra for extreme actions like biting. This revelation shocked Post Malone. Moreover, it also sparked widespread reactions among fans and observers.
Rogan disclosed that these underground fight clubs operate in secrecy without supervision. The lack of rules significantly increases the risk of injury. The extremely violent activity revealed by Rogan underscored the brutal nature of these fights. This level of violence exceeds standard combative sports norms. Moreover, there is an absence of medical and safety protocols in these clubs. This is what Rogan said that scared Malone:
They're doing wild sh*t, like you get paid extra if you can bite a piece off the person. ......... These guys have won like multiple fights in a row by eye-gouging. So, they get on top of guys and gouge their f*cking eyeballs.Joe Rogan via JRE

Stringent rules and medical oversight are integral parts of regulated combat sports. However, underground clubs lack these crucial protections and thus endanger participants. The existence of such clubs indicates a subculture that prizes extreme violence for profit. It starkly contrasts sharply with the professional, regulated realm of boxing and MMA, where Rogan is a respected commentator.
Rogan is a close friend of Mike Tyson. Tyson famously bit off Evander Holyfield‘s ear during their bout out of frustration. Tyson was recently in the corner of Francis Ngannou against Tyson Fury. Ngannou lost the bout via split decision. However, the sporting community praised him for his performance.
Joe Rogan is in awe of the phenomenal defense of Sean Strickland
Joe Rogan recently praised Sean Strickland‘s defensive skills in MMA. Rogan analyzed Strickland’s fighting style in his podcast episode with Evan Hafer. He focused on Strickland’s exceptional ability to defend against opponents in the octagon with a variety of techniques.

Rogan’s appreciation of Strickland’s abilities highlights the fighter’s rising stature in the sport. This is what he said about Strickland in the podcast:
They put a mouthpiece in that measures how many times you get hit. He (Sean Strickland) gets hit less than anyone. He's got phenomenal defense, man, phenomenal defense. His distance management is off the charts, and it's because he's constantly sparring. So, like, that's what he does better than anybody.
Strickland won the UFC middleweight title against Israel Adesanya at UFC 293. His striking performance was on full display at the event. Adesanya was unable to crack the defenses of the Americans. Stricklands’ upcoming bout is against Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297 in Canada.
