Khabib Nurmagomedov doesn’t make the cut for Dana White’s top 3 mixed martial artists of all time

Dana White, Khabib Nurmagomedov

Dana White ranks his top three MMA fighters of all time. Khabib Nurmagomedov did not make the list but the current pound-for-pound WW champion was close to the list than the Eagle.

White was asked to rank the top three MMA fighters ever. White ranked the names like Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, and Jon Jones. White also suggested that the WW champion of the Kamaru Usman is on his way to this list. It was strange to see White not mentioning Khabib Nurmagomedov. White has in past have suggested Khabib be the most dominant champion ever but he did not make the list of top MMA fighters.

“You have to go Anderson Silva, GSP, Jones. And Usman is getting up there too,” said White.

White’s list has all the long-reigning champions in it. White might have unintentionally revealed his criteria for the GOAT conversation. It is impossible to pick who is the best fighter to ever do it. But the vast majority of people will have these three guys on their list. These three have defended their title more than anybody in their division and beat a generation of talent. Nurmagomedov, though dominant, had a shorter career as a champion as compared to the names on White’s list.

When Nurmagomedov retired after beating Justin Gaethje. He was ranked pound-for-pound number to which Jones had to raise his voice. Many believe Khabib to be the most dominant fighter but when comes to the best fighter in MMA his name goes missing from the top three.
