“Don’t trip tho I’ll show you how to do it” – Nate Diaz shows Conor McGregor how it is done by taking a dig at Dustin Poirier

Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz might have fought a long while ago, but their rivalry still rages on. With both being active fighters, a trilogy fight even now would make absolute sense. Diaz, first, stunned the world when he stepped in as a short-notice fighter and stunned McGregor at UFC 196 with a submission win. Although, McGregor won the rematch a few months later at UFC 202, it wasn’t as convincing as Diaz’s submission win.

Ever since that day, a trilogy bout between the two has been on the cards. However, their careers took different routes that very same year. But now, it looks like the right time to make it happen. In a recent Twitter statement, Nate Diaz posted a video of McGregor lamenting, while also praising Diaz’s toughness, following his fight against ‘The Stockton Slugger’ back in 2016. He then followed it up with a short video of a “Nasogastric-tubed” Dustin Poirier chiding Diaz.

Diaz advised McGregor: “You Should’ve already learned from this.”

Diaz then posted a video of a struggling Poirier, showing McGregor how to get things done. He wrote, “Don’t trip tho I’ll show you how to do it.”

Poirier and Diaz came really close to fighting at UFC 230 in November 2018. It was one of the most anticipated matchups of the year. However, just three weeks prior to the fight, Poirier pulled out citing an injury. The fight was never rescheduled, and since then Diaz has aimed several shots at the ‘Diamond’ on Twitter.

As for Poirier, he will be facing lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira, in a title fight next. The fight doesn’t have a date yet, but might soon be announced.
