Sean Strickland is sure that UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno can easily defeat a NFL linebacker who is twice his size. UFC athletes are some of the most trained fighters in the world and have practiced throughout their life how to fight and beat their opponents. Under normal circumstances, between two amateurs size matters a lot when it comes to fighting. However, when it’s between a UFC fighter and someone bigger in size, things can be a little different.
Sean Strickland in a recent podcast talked about the same topic and claimed that the UFC flyweight champion, Brandon Moreno can go and destroy a NFL linebacker with ease.
He said: “A small champion can go f*** up a NFL player. Like what’s that little Mexican guy? the champion, I love the guy. It’s highly likely that guy goes and f**** up a NFL linebacker, highly likely. Again I still put my money on Brandon.” Although it’s good to see Strickland supporting his fellow colleague, it’s important to mention that a NFL linebacker can be around 240 lbs in comparison to Moreno who is just 5 ft 7 and 125 lb.
Sean Strickland thinks he deserves a shot against Israel Adesanya if he wins his upcoming fight

Strickland is all set to fight opponent Abus Magomedov at UFC on ESPN 48 this weekend. Going into the fight, the fighter has a one fight cushion and is expected to extend it. Ahead of the fight, Strickland did an interview with My MMA News’ John Eric Poli in which he explained that if he gets a win next, he deserves a title shot against Israel Adesanya.
“If this fight [with Magomedov] goes my way, it 100 percent should be in the cards. I f****** had a close decision with f******, what the f*** was that guy’s name? Jared Cannonier, you knocked some brain cells out of me. Solid guy. Thought I won on the scorecards but it is what it is.I truly believe I should be the one fighting ‘Izzy,’ but I lost fair and square. I’ll pay my tenants. I’ll get some W’s but yeah. That one needs to happen.”
Strickland came close to fighting Adesanya but failed miserably when he met Alex Pereira at UFC 276. It was followed up by a split decision loss against Jared Cannonier. It will be interesting to see if the fighter can get a win by beating Abus Magomedov.
