Dana White is a notorious gambler. He famously took his son to a casino when he turned 21. Joe Rogan also spoke about it a lot in his podcast episodes. However, UFC CBO, Hunter Campbell is not a fan of it. But the Fertitta brothers, who were the owners of the UFC before WME-IMG, run many casinos in Las Vegas. Moreover, they are very close with White. Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana White are schoolmates.

Dana White was a recent guest on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast for the Barstool Sports network. Taylor Lewan and Will Compton host the podcast. Recently, Lewan and Steve Deleonardis of the NELK boys won $500K gambling and gifted it to White. In the podcast, White explained why he did not enter the casino business even though he is an avid gambler.

It is the most regulated sh*t in this country. All these games are square and on the up and up, and all the cameras and the government is paying attention to everything. It's very, very regulated, so to get a license in gaming, you got to go through hell.

Apparently, White did not enter the business due to it being heavily regulated. White is a big proponent of free business. He was very vocal when the governments announced lockdowns that dimmed the business of many. Therefore it was not surprising to see White not entering a business that is under strict government regulation.

White will be looking to close out 2023 with a bang with impressive events in December. Only two PPVs and two Fight Nights are left for the UFC this year. The final event is UFC 296 headlined by Leon Edwards and Colby Covington. Moreover, Brandon Royval and Alexandre Pantoja will fight for the men’s flyweight title in the co-main event.

Dana White’s public reply to UFC CBO Hunter Campbell

In the UFC, Dana White works alongside UFC CBO Hunter Campbell and matchmakers Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard. Many describe Campbell as the brains of the business. Campbell receives credit for the smooth running of UFC 279 after Khamzat Chimaev missed weight significantly and put the main event in jeopardy.

However, it seemed that Campbell was and is not a fan of Dana White’s gambling proclivities. In the recent appearance on the Bussin’ With The Boys, White gave a stern reply to Campbell. This is what he said.

You have people like Hunter and many other people like, 'Why the f*ck does this guy........ doesn't need to get why? 'Cause I like it, that's f*cking why. None of your f*cking business other than I like it. It's what I like to do every night.

Campbell is a lawyer by profession and joined the UFC in January 2019. Moreover, he quickly rose to prominence in the company as he was promoted to Chief Business Operator in April of 2019. Furthermore, he is unofficially the third most powerful man in the UFC behind Ari Emanuel and Dana White according to Ariel Helwani.
