Thomson, in his podcast with “Big” John McCarthy, explained why White bashed Danis. This is what he said:

He (Dillon Danis) asked for his release from Bellator because he thought the pay-per-view numbers were 1.1. Then he ran off to the UFC, expecting to get paid big. Dana White made one phone call, found out what the real pay-per-view numbers were; they were nowhere near.

Dillon Danis’ latest fight was against Logan Paul on the prime card. Rumors swirled that the event did 1.1 million PPV buys. However, may find the number to be an exaggeration. Thompson shared the sentiment and believed that White also came to know of it.
