Israel Adesanya decided to sign off in 2022 by posting a picture of him getting detained by airport officials. The middleweight fighter’s “arrest” picture comes at a time when Andrew Tate has been trending for his controversial arrest in Romania. Fans clown Adesanya for making a big thing out of his airport detention.
Former kickboxing-champion, Andrew Tate recently went viral after being arrested for human trafficking charges in Romania. Tate has quickly gained a huge fan following around the world and also has fans from the MMA community. Shortly after pictures of Tate being detained by the police surfaced on the internet, Israel Adesanya coincidentally posted a picture of him being detained at the airport.
Adesanya has been receiving a lot of hate for quite some time from UFC fans. The fighter went from being bashed for putting up boring title fights to now being trolled for losing his belt to his biggest rival. On his way home, after the title defeat at UFC 281, Adesanya was flagged by the airport staff for carrying metal knuckles in his luggage.
The fighter was soon released after he disposed of the knuckles. The former champ posted a picture of him in handcuffs at the airport with a Drake song playing in the background. “I’m grateful for everything in 2022. Now 2023…say less, just watch,” wrote the fighter in his recent tweet. Adesanya’s comment section hasn’t been nice to him following this tweet.
“Hate me or love me you watched.
