Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury will compete in a boxing bout in Saudi Arabia. It surprised many fans who thought Fury would defend his WBC title against a legitimate boxing heavyweight. However, days before the bout announcement, Joe Rogan had wished to see Ngannou get the money he deserved on the podcast episode with Sean Strickland.
Strickland talked about the sincere nature of Francis Ngannou on the podcast. Joe Rogan also said he wished Ngannou the best in all his future endeavors. Rogan said, “I sincerely hope he is successful. I hope that him leaving as the heavyweight champion, and I really hope he gets a boxing match.” Rogan wished Ngannout to have the boxing bout he wanted, which came in the form of Tyson Fury.
Ever since leaving the UFC, Ngannou wanted to sign a deal with an MMA promotion that could give him a huge paycheck and the creative control to pursue boxing. PFL signed a huge deal with the former champion and permitted him to seek a boxing bout in 2023 before making his PFL debut in 2024. So far, all things have worked out perfectly for the Cameroonian fighter. Only time will tell if Ngannou can defeat Fury in the boxing ring.
Ngannou will have a challenging puzzle to solve in Tyson Fury. No heavyweight in boxing moves like Fury. He has precision boxing and the technical ability to defeat anyone. Only Deontay Wilder managed to hurt Fury in the boxing ring. No other boxer has been close to defeating Fury in the boxing ring. Hence, Ngannou may need more than luck to defeat Fury in a boxing bout.
Francis Ngannou vs. Tyson Fury will happen in Saudi Arabia
The former UFC champion Francis Ngannou will make his boxing debut in Saudi Arabia. He will fight Tyson Fury for his debut. Francis will get a huge bag for fighting the WBC heavyweight champion of the world.
Ariel Helwani reported, “Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou will take place “under the official rules of professional boxing, with 3 judges ringside adopting the 10-point must system. Both fighters however are promising to meet in the middle of the ring, go to war and win by knockout in devastating fashion,” per a release.”
He continued, “It will also take place “in a regulation boxing ring under the standard boxing rules.” The fight could end in a potential upset as no one expects to see Ngannou defeat Fury in the boxing ring. Ngannou has immense knockout power and could potentially KO the WBC heavyweight champion.
