UFC Welterweight contender Belal Muhammed wants Kamaru Usman to win the title so that he can receive a title shot. Belal has really thought this through as he has pictured the best possible storyline to receive a title shot.
Talking on Sirius XM MMA Channel, Belal believes that if Usman wins, Belal is the next contender. The reasoning is that Usman already beat Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal twice, and Belal is the next contender. But if Leon Edwards wins, the “storyline” is different as Edwards has yet to fight Covington, Masvidal or Burns, and he feels threatened with getting removed from the “storyline.”
Belal Muhammed makes a lot of sense, as Leon Edwards has never fought Jorge Masvidal or Colby Covington. The hatred between Jorge Masvidal and Edwards is yet to be settled. If Edwards retains his title, a Masvidal fight is probable as it is a big money fight.
