Henry Cejudo teamed up with the “Bad Guy” Chael Sonnen to break down the trilogy bout between Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman at UFC 286 in London. The knockout Kamaru Usman suffered at the hands of Leon Edwards in the second fight changed everything, according to Cejudo and Sonnen. There is an X-Factor to the fight now and that can dictate the result of the fight.

Cejudo says, “I remember getting concussed and getting hit at one time. I was scared, Chael, I was scared to get hit for at least 6 months. I remember just having like overtwitching almost to the point where it took so much time for me to comfortable again, to be myself once again.”

Chael Sonnen added to the part saying, “What the audience is often told, particularly in the world of boxing, ‘When a guy gets knocked out, he’s never the same.’ His chin does not change contrary to popular belief. What happens is he freezes, he’s now scared to attack. Every time you reach for attack, you leave yourself open in some regard.”

Chael Sonnen and Henry Cejudo think that the fight’s result will depend on the version of Kamaru Usman that will fight at UFC 286. Both of them said that if Kamaru Usman can recover from the previous knockout’s trauma, he can win the trilogy. But if he is not the same fighter, then Leon Edwards has the advantage. Hopefully, the fight fans will soon discover the aftermath of the Head-kick Knockout at UFC 286.

Despite an impressive performance, Henry Cejudo thinks Merab does not pose a challenge for him in a potential bout. Merab dominated Petr Yan for five rounds when they fought, but Cejudo believes it will not be a problem for him.

On his Youtube Channel, Cejudo said, “These guys are the same fighters all the time. Aljamain, he just flows with his fighting, he’s a freestyler. This guy (Merab), you know he’s gonna press, you know he’s gonna do all this to shoot. This is why a guy like Merab would be easy money. I’d hurt that dude. I’d let him in on my legs, make him carry my weight, and then take him down.”

Somewhere down the line, it would be interesting for the fight fans to see Cejudo fight Merab. It would be a representation of European Wrestling style vs American Wrestling style. Currently, Merab is looking for someone other than Aljamain Sterling to fight. Cejudo is preparing to fight Sterling for the Bantamweight championship in May.
