Can he Dunk? 250-pound UFC heavyweight monster shows off on the basketball court

Ciryl Gane is one of the most promising heavyweights at the current time and he has proved his mettle on several occasions. The former UFC interim Heavyweight champion is a beast inside the octagon and has a wide range of skills considering his weight class.
Other than fighting, Gane frequently plays other sports such as basketball. In one of the videos that went viral, Gane was seen dribbling the ball and dunking it effortlessly which surprised a lot of fans.
Later in an interview with BT Sports UFC, Ciryl Gane revealed how he initially played football and basketball and then changed it to Muay Thai. “I did nothing really in professional in soccer and basketball…that’s why I switch in with the Muay Thai and after few training, the trainer told me ‘ my man I think you can do something really great’,” said Gane. Gane is a proper athlete and it’s so rare to see someone of his size playing basketball and dunking that well.

Gane will be facing arguably one of the best fighters in MMA history, Jon Jones at UFC 285. Ahead of the fight, many fans are considering this heavyweight bout to be extremely technical as both fighters are known for their incredible fighting skill.
However, the fighter isn’t that satisfied with his training method. In a recent interview with La Sueur, The Frenchman revealed that he’s lazy when it comes to his training. Gane mentioned that he barely trains for grappling during his training camp.
He said: “If I look back at my career, this is a regret. I love grappling but unfortunately, I’m lazy, that’s the truth. I only train when a fight is announced. I have a lot of media obligations. Professional opportunities outside of the sport. You can’t say no to all these things. I also have to give time to my family, and rest well.”
Gane has a reputation for being a heavyweight fighter who moves like a middleweight. On top of it, he is highly skilled and doesn’t rely on brute force to finish his opponents. It will be interesting to see how Jones will approach this fight against Gane.
