In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Chael Sonnen issued a timely warning to UFC superstar Conor McGregor. Sonnen believed that Israel Adesanya is on the verge of surpassing McGregor. Conor McGregor has for a long time enjoyed the position as the UFC’s biggest attraction. However, the Irish superstar’s inconsistent outing may have played a part. Meanwhile, Israel Adesanya has risen to significant popularity in recent years and could challenge Conor McGregor.

Israel Adesanya reclaimed his position as the reigning middleweight champion after a remarkable performance at UFC 287. Recently, Adesanya was spotted at UFC 290 and confronted Dricus Du Plessis, who had just defeated Robert Whittaker. An intense beef between Adesanya and Du Plessis ensued after Du Plessis commented about being the only African UFC fighter to bring honor to the motherland.
