The reporter was a brave man to willingly ask “The Notorious” Conor McGregor to roast him sitting in the front row of the press conference. The journalist would’ve never expected Jon Jones to team up with the Irishman to roast his outfit at UFC 178 press conference.

The promotion must have known UFC 178 media day was going to be an absolute blockbuster when they put Daniel Cormier, Jon Jones, Conor McGregor, and Dustin Poirier on stage. Jones and McGregor were the stars of the Q&A session and gave us a highlight for ages. The superstars teamed up to roast a reporter in the front row who was wearing a “pitiful” suit according to Jones.

In all fairness to the two fighters, the reporter asked for it and must’ve known the trashing was coming. “You look alright. But if I’m being completely honest, the green shirt and grey suit is a weird combination,” said McGregor. To rally off McGregor’s words, Jones added, “Don’t do that again. You need to burn that sh** right now.”

Both McGregor and Jones thought the suit was “pitiful” and “weird”. “Was that your idea? And you sat in the front row with that bullsh**?” added Jones as he showed no mercy to the reporter. UFC 178 press conference with the four stars was undoubtedly one of the greatest pre-fight media days in the history of the promotion.

When will Jon Jones and Conor McGregor fight again in the UFC?

The UFC is surely missing two of its biggest superstars. Jones has not fought in the octagon since the year 2020 while McGregor was last seen in the octagon in 2021. It is the end of 2022 and there are no signs of the two superstars returning to fight. However, both fighters have expressed interest in fighting again.

Despite the absence of McGregor and Jones being completely different, the two sure have one thing in common. Both of them have put on a considerable amount of size and won’t be fighting at their natural weight classes. Jones has confirmed his return will be as a heavyweight and looks like “Bones” has put in the effort to jump the weightclass.

McGregor, on the other hand, has not officially revealed the preferred weight division for his return but it sure would take a herculean effort from the Irishman to drop back to the 155-pound division given the current state of his physique posts his injury in 2021.
