UFC Megastar Conor McGregor might not be fighting as of now but his past achievements are timeless prizes, at least for him. Regardless, McGregor’s success is very much evident from his massive net worth and his #1 position in 2021 Forbes’ list of highest paid athletes. McGregor last fought more than a year ago after a brutal shin fracture declined his already slow-paced competitive run. McGregor now aspires of returning for a third divisional title for his legacy by fighting the reigning UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman.

As soon as he entered the world’s biggest platform for MMA, McGregor became one of the fastest rising stars in the UFC all the way to cruising through victories with championship belts around his waist and shoulders. His list of wins includes the likes of Donald Cerrone, Jose Aldo, Dustin Poirier, Max Holloway, Chad Mendes, and many more.

His most famous victory and rivalry are however over Nate Diaz. McGregor lost to Diaz in the first fight at UFC 196 and won in the rematch at UFC 202. Nate Diaz will be fighting his last UFC fight at UFC 279 against Khamzat Chimaev after which he will be fighting for opportunities outside of the UFC or the entire scope of MMA.

Conor McGregor makes multiple references to justify his love for MMA and his fights against Nate Diaz

In the latest set of tweets, McGregor remembers the month of UFC 202 as the event nears the completion of 6 years, in the main event of which McGregor defeated Diaz in the rematch as mentioned before. McGregor posted a picture of him punching Diaz’s face and said “Throwback to me vs Gabriel Gonzaga in Japan, I can’t believe I’m about to hit Hollywood. I will do you all proud.”

McGregor is referring to the time when Gabriel Gonzaga, a former UFC heavyweight, knocked out Croatian combat sports legend Mirko Filipovic via Filipovic’s own signature move, the head kick. Later on, Filipovic avenged his loss in the rematch. McGregor is indicating that Diaz somehow got lucky in the first fight as McGregor’s gas tank faded. Also, McGregor will make his Hollywood debut soon with the remake of a famous Hollywood classic titled Road House.

In another tweet, McGregor said “Mma, I’ll never forget you! Easy work.” And lastly, McGregor said, “I’ll never let go, Jack!” Referring to the famous Hollywood movie “Titanic’s” last scene.
