Conor McGregor sees “Gold and Dough” as he makes an exciting prediction about his return to the UFC

McGregor has been out of action for 15 months

Conor McGregor is certainly one of the most iconic athletes to ever walk out of a UFC tunnel. The Irishman took the sport to levels of fame it could only dream of and vanished from the top, ever so quickly. Now, 15 months away from the octagon, McGregor or much rather Mystic Mac sees nothing but a gilded future for him ahead.

McGregor was a two-divisional champion in the UFC, the first to do it simultaneously. He captured the featherweight belt from Jose Aldo and the Lightweight belt from Eddie Alvarez, only he never defended them. McGregor was off to fry bigger fish in a $100 million payday against boxing’s best-seller, Floyd Mayweather.

Since then his career has been through ups and downs but lately, the ups seem to be ever so small while the downs could go very steep. Since his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, it’s unclear if McGregor will ever compete again. He’s not been seen in a camp-like environment, he’s out of the testing pool and moreover, he’s getting to be part of Hollywood.

Recently, however, the double champ assured his fans that he’s still on track and so are his visions. On Twitter he wrote, “I predict the future it holds gold and doh”, meaning he sees a lot of championships and big paydays in his future.

Why is Conor McGregor called Mystic Mac?

Currently, McGregor is on the sets of the upcoming film Roadhouse starring Jake Gyllenhaal, in which he has a notable role. He has said on Twitter that he’d be back immediately after the filming is done. However Dana White revealed McGregor would have to be included in the testing pool for six months before he competed under the UFC again.

While he may not possess the same abilities now, there was a time when McGregor could visualize how things would turn out within the octagon, back when he was called Mystic Mac, back during his featherweight days, he had a unique ability to call the exact round he’d end the fight in.

He did this precisely against many opponents like Dennis Siver, Dustin Poirier and even Chad Mendes. “I predict these things, ” said McGregor as he declared everyone should be addressing him as Mystic Mac.

Lately, however, none of the predictions seem to land. Is it because of bad training or the sport just passing by him, we’ll only know when and if McGregor ever returns to the octagon
