Safe to say Conor McGregor is not a fan of YouTube boxing. Even if it meant his training partner, Dillon Danis was to take part in a boxing match against one of the biggest YouTube boxers, KSI. The Irish superstar and the British YouTuber go back and forth in a Twitter battle.

Conor McGregor caught himself in a Twitter exchange with KSI, the British YouTuber who will soon face, McGregor’s BJJ coach/training partner, Dillon Danis. Recently on Twitter, KSI had some bold words in McGregor’s mentions claiming he would “do some serious damage” to Danis in the upcoming boxing event that is set to take place at the Wembley Arena in January 2023.

The YouTuber was looking to provoke a battle of words with Conor McGregor but to everyone’s surprise, the UFC star didn’t seem to care much about the upcoming boxing match. “Brother you’re a friendly little nerd I don’t care. He should be back doing MMA if he is doing this little nothing burger match with you. I couldn’t care less about this genre of boxing, I am sorry. Have a good one,” wrote McGregor.

Dillon Danis became popular after his association with the Irish superstar during his rivalry against Khabib Nurmagomedov. The infamous brawl post-fight at UFC 229 put a lot of cameras on the BJJ talent. McGregor might still be rocking with Danis but he sure won’t bat an eye toward the YouTube “genre of boxing”.

Conor McGregor in an attempt to humbly respond to KSI’s tweet might have upset Logan Paul. While the Irishman receives credit for being a pioneer in cross-promotional boxing, Logan Paul and KSI sure did take YouTube boxing to another level. Paul and McGregor have one thing in common, both have faced the legendary boxer, Floyd Mayweather.

While McGregor faced a TKO defeat at the hands of “Money” Mayweather during his historic bout back in 2017, Logan and Mayweather scrapped with each other in an exhibition bout in 2021. Paul responded to McGregor’s dismissal of the YouTube boxing match and boasts he inflicted more damage on Mayweather compared to McGregor.

“Boxing is boxing. I’m a YouTuber & I still did more damage to Floyd than you,” wrote back Paul in his recent tweet. The Paul brothers surely have set a new standard for YouTube boxing with the big names they’ve faced in their boxing stint. The younger Paul brother, Jake, is in fact eyeing to take on The Notorious One in a boxing match. Only time will tell if McGregor would ever be enticed by an offer proposed by a YouTuber like Paul down the line. Several stars like Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal, and others have expressed interest in fighting boxers of the said “genre”.
