Controversial NELK Youtuber who was gifted a quarter million dollars by Dana White bets $50K on Nate Diaz
Diaz will face undefeated Chechen Khamzat Chimaev this weekend
Kyle Forgeard of the NELK boys has decided to back Nate Diaz this coming weekend in his fight against highly touted prospect, Khamzat Chimaev. Nate is also rumoured to be on the last fight on his current UFC contract so it may very well be his last performance under the UFC banner.
Since his loss to Leon Edwards in 2021, Nate has walked with his stock ever so high, thanks to the last-minute scare he was able to inflict against Edwards. Since then he has long been campaigning for a fight against multiple UFC Veterans who he believes are worthy opponents.
However, against all his wishes he was handed the Chechen sensation, Khamzat Chimaev as a farewell fight from the UFC. Fans immediately recognized the predatory nature of this fight having a veteran like Diaz go up against someone so young and devastating with his wrestling. A fight like this could build up the prospect while also tainting the legacy of an outgoing legend.
NELK YouTuber Kyle Foregeard bets a massive 50k on Nate Diaz
However, Kyle didn’t seem to get the memo. The rapper recently bet almost $50k on Diaz in the upcoming main event. This is despite Nate being the heavy underdog. So much so that his $50k bet could win him as high as $460k if his bets turn out right.
Kyle is a YouTuber with the NELK brand and has been seen at UFC events starting from the pandemic era. He has an awkward interview with Khabib at fight island that went viral. However more recently he was infamously known to be on the receiving end of a $250k gift for his birthday by none other than UFC president Dana White.
In fact this is not the first time the two have been involved with each other. Previously after the Leon Edwards fight, Nate’s after party was hosted by Happy Dad, a hard seltzer promoted by the NELK Boys. More recently Diaz had a run-in with one of their reporters when he slapped Shawnymack of Full Send MMA for trash-talking his teammate on Twitter.
It is to be noted however, that Kyle has a partnership with Stake.com, the platform on which the bets were placed. A Diaz win this weekend could not only mean a huge payday for the YouTuber but would also manage to shake up the entire divisional hierarchy in the UFC.
Diaz and Chimaev will face off in a 5-round fight, a first for the Chechen. The undercard will also feature Tony Ferguson’s return to welterweight against Chinese superstar, Li Jingliang.
