Not many outside the UFC boss, Dana White, and the fighters on the UFC roster know how the UFC pay structure works. Daniel Cormier, former UFC double champ is here to give us an idea of how much the creme da le creme gets paid.

UFC’s fighter pay has always been a controversial subject. From time to time, there has always been a misconception about the UFC pay structure. Unless an employee from the roster comes out to explain how things work, the general public barely knows how things work in the UFC.

Daniel Cormier was on the PIVOT podcast hosted by three NFL stars, Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder. DC was generous enough to drop insights on how fighters get paid in the UFC. Channing was the one to bring up this question. DC is a massive star who has been treated well by the company.

“Izzy. Seven million, I think Izzy is making. Between five to seven,” DC said without breaking a sweat talking about the potential amount superstar champion, Israel Adesanya is making right now in the UFC.

Israel Adesanya has been in the UFC for the past 4 years and is only behind the Irish superstar in earnings. Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor are totally different monsters when it comes to stardom. DC left all three hosts on the podcast speechless after he revealed the numbers.

“Khabib made probably ten. Conor makes 20 base, 15-20 base,” said Daniel Cormier. The wrestler also revealed how the fighters get paid in the UFC. “Yes you walk into and get paid. And guess when you get paid? In the locker room. You walk back and they give you a cheque. Three four million, five million. Whatever it is, they give it to you in the back,” added Cormier.

It is important to note that Cormier is talking about specifically the superstars of the business. UFC works on the motto, “you eat what you kill”. Naturally the numbers for small up-and-coming fighters are not nearly as good as the superstars.

Till date, there are several stars in the promotion who are unhappy with their sponsorship deals and also their paychecks. DC also acknowledges and lets the NFL stars know that the numbers he mentioned is for the elite of elites.
