“Knows nothing about the God of War”- Deiveson Figueiredo sends a scary warning for Brandon Moreno ahead of their 4th fight
Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno
Brandon Moreno fought against Kai Kara-France for the interim flyweight title at the co-main event of UFC 277. The champion, Deiveson Figueiredo retained his belt against Moreno at UFC 270, and he sustained a hand injury that needed surgery.
He had to take a break from fighting, and in his absence, the UFC decided to introduce the interim belt. The champion wasn’t too pleased with this decision, and he even fired his former manager (Wallid Ismail) and is now managed by Urijah Faber. After Moreno stopped France at UFC 277, Figgy stepped inside the octagon, and these two agreed to fight for the fourth time.
Figueiredo wasn’t interested in fighting Moreno for a fourth time because of a controversial remark made by Moreno’s teammate, while they were in the octagon, Moreno apologized for this accident, and they shook hands like real men.
“We can be friends after”- Deiveson Figueiredo isn’t ready to settle his beef against Brandon Moreno just yet
Even though they seemed cool inside the octagon, Figgy isn’t ready to settle the beef with Moreno. He believes he is the better fighter, and Moreno never actually evolved as a fighter. Talking on The MMA Hour, he said, “I don’t hate him, but we’re not friends. He wants to be friends, but this is the fourth fight. This is to make history. We can be friends after, but not before or during.”
Figgy added, “Brandon looked the same as he always has. He’s never changed his game. It’s always the same and I have the antidote for him. Brandon Moreno knows I’m an incredible fighter, and I’m going to get to this fight even more incredible. I’m 95 percent, I’m already training all aspects of MMA.”
“I’m a person that loves to go 110 percent for every training. My game is evolving every single day and he knows nothing about my game. I’m going to bring a new game to him once again. He knows nothing about the ‘God of War.’ The quadrilogy, you will see a new ‘God of War’ in this fight,” Figgy concluded.
