UFC boss, Dana White’s latest ventures into slap-fighting has brought him under a lot of criticism for exploiting the financially needy. Apparently, White is being accused of taking advantage of needy people slapping each other to make money out of the entertainment derived.
In a recent reply, Dana White slammed a fan for criticizing the fighter pay at Power Slap – Road to title. The fan wrote, “A road to title where you get 2k/2k and maybe 10k/10k if you win it all.” The UFC boss replied saying, “How MMA started too. Boxing undercards make this kind of money still. Educate yourself before you open the YAP.”
The UFC boss’ dream of creating another sport out of slap-fighting has been utterly disgraceful after fans and MMA fighters themselves have criticized the cruel nature of the sport. Slap-fighting does not allow any form of defensive maneuver which is why it has been widely criticized.
Former UFC official, Big John McCarthy has been against the promotion of Power Slap since its very inception after the Nevada State Athletic Commission sanctioned the tournament. In some of the recent episodes of Power Slap, the viciousness of knockouts has increased leading to suspected brain damage inflicted on fighters.

Slap fighting is generally looked at as a stupid game two or more people play. The game does not allow participants to defend themselves thus, making it ineligible to be called a form of combat sport. The game might not seem very brutal in hindsight but recent knockouts have concerned some of the fans regarding the UFC boss’ new venture.
Dana White’s new venture has been discarded by fans after neuroscientists and coaches came out to question the encouragement of such a game. To add to this, the fighter’s pay issue has once again been raised to accuse the UFC boss of the miserly pays that the slap fighters on his show make.
Thus, questioned White’s integrity as a businessman for compromising the long-term health of fighters who might be in dire need of financial support. In a recent interview, MMA official, Big John McCarthy criticized White for consistently encouraging the venture since its debut airing on Jan 18 on TBS.
UFC fighters and boxers like Aljamain Sterling, Jamahal Hill, and Ryan Garcia among many others have called out Dana White for trying to exploit the fighters by paying them minimal remuneration and giving them ‘sanctioned concussions’.
