Dana White has announced the main card for the UFC 287 event which has Israel Adesanya vs. Alex Pereira with a co-main event headlining Jorge Masvidal vs. Gilbert Burns. Fans feel like Masvidal won’t be able to survive this fight.
Masvidal is on the back of losing a fight against his former best friend turned enemy, Colby Covington. He is on a 3 fight-losing streak losing to Usman twice and Colby last. Masvidal will be looking to get back on his winning ways, probably in a way that would be remembered for a while similar to when he knocked out Ben Askren.
Burns is back to his winning ways when he beat Magny via 1st round submission after losing to Khamzat Chimaev last. After having such a convincing win over Magny, fans feel that Masvidal has no chance of winning against Burns.

With Adesanya having to deal with the pressure of getting a win against his long-time adversary, Alex Pereira, there is also Masvidal feeling the pressure to get back to his winning ways. If Masvidal is anything like his old self, then the fight against Burns will be a spectacle to watch.
Fans react to the Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns matchup
The MMA community has likened Jorge Masvidal’s current lineup to Tyrone Woodley‘s last lineup. Woodley lost to Usman, Colby, and Burns before getting removed from the UFC roster.
After having a convincing win over Magny, people are praying for Masvidal’s health. Masvidal has been on a 3-fight losing streak, and all the times losing convincingly. Jorge will be looking to win again to probably get a title shot soon. But fans believe otherwise.
Boring again, #UFC just keeps missing on these cards, keep running through the same old fighters

Edwards isn’t beating Usman.

Probably going to be Masvidal's last fight judging by the way both of them have been carrying themselves in the octagon lately.

Not an ideal matchup for Masvidal, and he’s needing a win.

With Masvidal wanting to win again and Burns wanting to extend his winning streak, this fight will be a sight to see for all fans. This main card is everything on the line with Adesanya wanting to get his belt back and Pereira having his first title defense, Masvidal wanting to win again and Burns wanting to extend his winning streak – the entire main card will be a sight to behold.
