“Imagine if Conor and Khabib were like this” – Fans react to Henry Cejudo training with former fierce rival Demetrious Johnson ahead of much-anticipated return
Fans hope for a similar situation with Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, after seeing Henry Cejudo and Demetrius Johnson training together.

With Henry Cejudo returning to the UFC against Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title at UFC 288, he was seen training with Demetrius Johnson. Fans have likened this development to a ‘What if?’ question of Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov being like that.
When Khabib and Conor faced each other, there was a lot of trash-talking and bad blood going into the fight. So much so that some fans have deemed the grudge match “not decided”. Fans seemed to have similar notions about Cejudo and Johnson, but the recent sparring/training footage has put these notions to a stop before they even started properly.
Cejudo will be returning to the UFC against Sterling for the bantamweight title after the two of them went back and forth on social media. Henry, who is also training with Jon Jones, has started training for his fight against Sterling with the help of Johnson. UFC 288 will decide if Henry Cejudo is truly the GOAT (at least in many fans’ point of view) or if Aljamain Sterling continues to dominate the division.
Could you imagine if Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov were like this?

People forget that Cejudo and Johnson never had any bad blood between them for them to not ever reconcile. But hoping for a similar situation between Khabib and McGregor is something of a dream. Keeping that aside, UFC 288 will be eventful since it will mark the return of the ‘champ champ’ Henry Cejudo straight into a title fight.
Fans react to Henry Cejudo training with Demetrius Johnson
When Henry Cejudo lost against Demetrius Johnson and then eventually won his rematch, people thought that there won’t ever be reconciliation between them. But, the two of them have proved the fans wrong.
Fans have spoken about the possibility of their rivalry being as heated as Jones-Cormier and Conor-Khabib. But unlike these two combinations, there was and is no bad blood between Johnson and Cejudo. While the idea of Jones and Cormier training together is not too far-fetched after Jones’ recent comments about Cormier, the idea of the same happening between Khabib and Conor is just a fleeting dream.
Or Jones and dc lol

I love these 2. The fact that they both recognise the other is an absolute stud and drop the ego to learn off each other. Gets me kinda sweaty I won’t lie

But only the results of UFC 288 will tell if the training with Demetrius Johnson actually helped Henry Cejudo or not when he fights Aljamain Sterling. 2023 marks the year of return in the UFC, with names such as Jon Jones, Conor McGregor and now Henry Cejudo returning to the Octagon.
