It was not an expected return for Henry Cejudo, as he would have thought at UFC 288. Henry Cejudo misses his chance to prove why he was the UFC’s double champ. After facing the loss against Aljamain Sterling, Cejudo entered the doubt list of MMA fans. Though the Olympic gold medalist is again fired up to get his revenge, this time Cejudo has his eyes set on Sterling’s teammate and friend, Merab Dvalishvili.

The former champion’s plan was halted as he was looking to become the triple champ this time. Cejudo made his comeback after three years of retirement. Cejudo wanted to clear up all the expected challengers to face Alexander Vokanovski for the featherweight championship. Firstly, his second requirement question was there, but he didn’t open up about it.

Later on, Henry took to Twitter when he called out Merab as his next opponent.

Dvalishvili is also ready to fight the 36-year-old fighter. The fight is not yet official from the UFC’s side, but Sterling’s next match will soon take place. After looking at many of his faults, Cejudo is now prepared to make his final run for the championship. ‘Triple C’ lost the fight via split decision, and he believes he was the winner of the fight.

Now it is time for the No. 1 ranked bantamweight title contender to face the former champion. Henry’s intentions are clear towards Merab to get his spot again for the title fight.

Recently, Cejudo talked about his battle on his YouTube channel. Henry said, “It’s not over.” Then he mentions how fired up he is right now to take revenge. Triple C said “I can’t let this go like this. I just can’t. There’s like a fire burning through my veins, a little bit of anger as you want to say. Will, desire, determination. And it has nothing to do with Aljamain or anybody else, but it’s myself.”

After clearing his intentions, the 36-year-old former champion said, “I want Merab’s head on a plate.” Cejudo, being personal this time, mentions that “Aljo and I are best friends.” In addition, Dvaliishvili is the No. 1 contender, which the former champion believes can put him again against Aljamain.

Since nothing is yet official from the side of the UFC, Merab had a big announcement for Cejudo. Dvalishvili is having surgery on his right hand, which will put him out of action for a month. If Triple C’s only target is Aljo’s best friend, then he will have to work for his recovery.
