How much does Joe Rogan make from UFC commentary?
Joe Rogan
Joe Rogan has solidified himself as one of the most known faces in the world of sports broadcasting. The UFC color commentator has been in the UFC for a long time now and has built an amazing career out of it. Along with that, Rogan currently has the biggest podcast show in the world which gets millions of views regularly.
Rogan joined UFC when the promotion was struggling to get venues and Rogan had to call a few fights without even getting paid. However, his background in combat sports and his love for mixed martial arts helped him to stay there. Ultimately the decision turned out great and now Rogan earns a lucrative amount of money in UFC. Over the years, Rogan has been an extremely important part of UFC and his current contract offers him to commentate only on pay-per-view events. Rogan doesn’t necessarily take part in the commentary panel on Fight Nights.
According to reports, Rogan makes approximately $50000 per pay-per-view event. This year Joe took part in many pay-per-view events except the ones which took place outside of the U.S. Other than commentary, Joe Rogan also interviews fighters right after their fight and does a great job every time.
Joe Rogan reflects on interviewing fighters after a devastating knockout
As an employee of UFC, Rogan’s job is to go to fighters after they lost the fight and do the hard thing of asking them questions. It can be an extremely sensitive time as, after a fight, most athletes tend to be high on emotions. Especially when fighters get knocked out, they don’t understand what happened to them as they struggle to get back to their senses.
During a podcast on his Spotify show, the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’, the 55-year-old revealed how he feels while interviewing fighters right after the showdown.

He said, “Well, I was doing interviews of people after they were knocked unconscious. It’s not a good time to interview people, they make mistakes. Because like you just had your brain shut off. So maybe they think they won a fight or maybe something. They don’t know what the f*ck just happened. And there are varying degrees of that.”
While it can be a tough job, fight fans really appreciate Rogan for his conversation skills with fighters. Rogan does have a great way to make the fighters feel a little at ease given the respect he has in the fighting community.
