The world of combat sports is for sure exciting and glamorous. But behind all the glamour and thrill, there is one thing that many fans ignore. Joe Rogan says it is the pain and suffering fighters go through. A career in MMA is not only physically damaging, but it is also mentally damaging. Recently, Rogan addressed this issue in his podcast.
Once Joe Rogan commented, “You got to realize that this is the most wild, crazy, exciting but ultimately physically damaging game there is other than maybe football. Right? Football players, they f*** each other up, just running full tilt into each other.”
“No weight class limits in the UFC because there is it’s 265. That’s the heavyweight Division . And the money in the UFC was way more like it was more than any NFL player could make and they all decided to start fighting it would be a bloodbath. I don’t think people understand the level of athlete you’re dealing with when you’re talking about the elite NFL players. When you’re around them you’re like what the F*** are you talking about? It’s like a whole different human yeah,” said Rogan on the podcast. He also added, “they decided to fight it would be a real problem for regular-sized big dudes.”
During a 2016 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), Joe Rogan was joined by comedian Tony Hinchcliff, Bryan Callen, and former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub. Their discussion steered towards professional wrestling, and the group marveled at the exceptional genetics of some wrestlers.

Rogan was particularly amazed when the NFL combine the stats of Brock Lesnar. The beast former UFC heavyweight champion and professional wrestler, were displayed. The UFC commentator and podcast host couldn’t help but express his admiration for Lesnar’s impressive physical abilities.
Here is what he had to say: “Look at his 40 (yard dash)…By the way, 283lb, 4-7-40 (4.7 seconds to run 40 yards), 35-inch vertical jump, long jump 10-feet! Standing long jump 10-feet, bench press 225(lbs) for 30 reps. Jesus f****n christ. A running back living in the body of a defensive end. He’s a freak.”
Joe Rogan has recently made a startling revelation on his podcast, citing a study conducted on NFL players that sheds light on the consumption of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) among them. According to Rogan, the study reveals that an astonishing 99% of NFL players suffer from this debilitating condition.
