Joe Rogan showers praise on the Hindu religion in a recent episode of his popular podcast. The UFC commentator gets deep about the current state of the world taking the Will Smith – Chris Rock controversy at the Oscars as an example.
When Joe Rogan is not calling fights sitting cageside at the UFC octagon, he is busy having guests from all walks of life on his podcast which is one of the biggest in the world. Rogan, who is also a standup comedian, stood up for his peer, Chris Rock when he got slapped by global superstar Will Smith at the Oscars earlier this year. Talking to Josh Barnett from the MMA community, Rogan discussed the “Kali Yuga” concept.
The two went on a rant talking about how “out of place” it was for Will Smith let his emotions get the better of him and slap a comedian on stage at the biggest television show. Rogan compared this situation, which he believes has been normalized since we’re all living in the Kali Yuga, which is a concept in Hinduism.
“We are in Kali Yuga. And the Hindus were smart with their ideas. They came up with the idea that there were certain ages that were almost unavoidable. These civilizations, go through cycles,” said Rogan talking to Barnett. The two agree that the cycle predicted as the fourth and worst of the four cycles in Hinduism’s “Yuga Cycle” is what we’re living in right now.
The two MMA aficionados believe that Will Smith’s slap toward Chris Rock comes from a place of entitlement more than anything. Josh Barnett is an American mixed martial artist who is a veteran of the sport. He has been on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast multiple times.

Joe Rogan shares the concept of the Kali Yuga cycle on his Instagram back in 2021
The UFC commentator has always been very respectful of the Hindu religion and has often spoken highly of it. Rogan has also had several guests on the show impart knowledge on the concept of the religion and talk chapters about the historic “Bhagavad Gita”. Dating back to November 2021, Rogan already was aware of the “Kali Yuga” concept and shared it on his Instagram page.
The UFC veteran has more than 15 million followers on his Instagram. Rogan shared a picture of a cycle that showed the cycles of civilization. “We are in Kali Yuga.
The age of conflict. All of the chaos we’re seeing right now was predicted in Hinduism thousands of years ago. Civilizations move in predictable cycles, and we are in the lower left hand square of the chart,” wrote Rogan in his caption.

“Do your best to elevate yourself and the world around you from the madness that is in the air, but understand that this insanity is all a part of an infinite process,” ended the popular American personality in his post about eh Kali Yuga. Apart from mixed martial arts, Rogan takes great pleasure in discussing politics, comedy, and wildlife on his podcast.
