Joe Rogan found himself in a unique conversation on his podcast as marijuana industry legend Tommy Chong made a bold statement. He asserted that gun owners are paranoid. Chong’s unconventional viewpoint sparked a debate with Joe Rogan who did not share his views.

Tommy Chong commented on gun ownership on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. He believes that people who own guns are paranoid and not very smart. This is what he had to say:

If you own a gun, you are not very intelligent…Because you are paranoid…Having a gun means that you are afraid that someone is going to come in and attack you. So, what i’m saying is that if you have a gun, if you think you that you have something that is worth more than someone else’s life, then you are ignorant.

These comments did not sit well with Rogan and he fired back. He said that having a gun does not mean you are paranoid or it has more worth than someone else’s life.

During his participation in the show, Sean Strickland observed Vernon’s strange demeanor, describing him as an angry guy, in contrast to the nerdy image he had expected. Strickland thought that Joe Rogan was mistreating Vernon, citing occasions in which Rogan reportedly silenced Vernon’s attempts to speak or reprimanded him during their conversations. This is what he had to say:

When I did the Rogan podcast… I was thrown off by Jamie. I think Rogan abuses him dude…I think I was picturing like a younger, white [and] nerdy kid, [but] no. He’s an angry man… Jamie’s angry.

Despite the alarming revelations, Strickland expressed worry for Vernon’s well-being. He even invited him to reach out if needed. The allegations raise concerns about the dynamics behind the scenes of one of the world’s most successful podcasts. It remains to be seen how Rogan will respond to them.
