It might not be the best idea to confront Dustin Poirier holding a sign with disrespectful comments about the fighter’s wife. Recently, Poirier was at the Youngsville Mardi Gras procession with his wife and was interacting with his fans while in a moving car. During the parade, a fan showed up with a sign which said the infamous Conor McGregor’s quote, “Your wife is my DM’s.” 

The fan first showed the banner to the camera and then went up to Poirier but it didn’t turn out the way he would have thought. The two-time UFC lightweight contender didn’t let it slide and slapped the man as hard as possible. After that, “The Diamond“ tried to jump out of his moving car and engage with the rude fan, but was stopped by his wife.

It seems like the middle age man was a fan of Conor McGregor who tried to emulate the insults that the Irish tried to make on Poirier at UFC 264. That was the last time, McGregor fought inside the octagon as he suffered a leg injury and the fight was stopped. Poirier has announced the winner via TKO. However, McGregor wasn’t satisfied with the result and continued to mock Poirier by defaming his wife.

The clip of Dustin Poirier slapping the guy with the banner went viral immediately on the internet and many users supported the fighter for his actions. Many in the comments mentioned that the man was stupid and did the wrong thing and Poirier should have hit him harder.

The rivalry between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor took a nasty turn when both of them met last time. Moments like this make sure that Poirier is still not over what McGregor said during the trash-talking. It won’t be surprising to see both the fighters going at each other for the fourth time in the future.
