Dana White Contender’s Series has turned out to be a huge hit. This season, one of the most promising fighters on the show was middleweight fighter Bo Nickal. Usually, a win in spectacular fashion earns you a contract straight away but White wanted to see Bo another time and boy did he deliver!

With now being offered a contract with the UFC, Nickal has made his first call out and it is for a fight against the Chechen monster, Khamzat Chimaev. DCWS contender is confident he can take down Chimaev because of his past in American wrestling.

“If the UFC wishes, give me that Swedish dude. He might not even be the best guy, because he can’t even make weight,” jokes Nickal at the presser. “I feel like a good matchup for me. He’s obviously a high-level grappler, a high-level fighter. I have a lot of respect for his skills but I also know what I’m about,” said Bo.

Dana White in the post-fight press conference shut down the matchup immediately. Nickal might be an incredible talent but the UFC boss does not believe the Contender Series graduate is ready to face a fighter like Chimaev. “Let’s not get crazy here. You don’t test him against ranked talent,” said Nickal.

“You bring him in just like you bring in any prospect. You build him up, give him fights. The problem is there’s no easy fights here,” added White. If Nickal continues the good form he is in, it is only a matter of time before we see him get tested against beasts like Chimaev.
