Alexander Volkanovski is a killer inside the octagon but is always up for jokes when he’s not fighting. The featherweight champion, however, was not ready for what was coming his way in a recent interview.
The promotions for UFC 284: Makhachev vs Volkanovski has kicked off. The fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev is one of the most-anticipated bouts of this year. The lightweight belt and P4P status are on the line for the super fight.
Leading up to the fight, Volkanovski collaborated with influencer Jordan Simi. In an interview, the fighter was asked by the “reporter” with painted fingernails to hold his hands during the interview. Volkanovski, who was caught completely off-guard, produced a gem of a reaction for the fans.
“Do you mind if we hold hands?” asked the reporter to which Volkanovski replied, “Is that legit?” Alexander Volkanovski was not sure if the comedian/interviewer was being serious. Fans have now clipped this segment out and are having a field day on Twitter.

Volkanovski has quickly become one of the most-loved fighters among UFC fans. The fighter’s recent win has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest of all time. The Aussie’s personality has also complimented the fighter’s rise to fame.
