Conor McGregor wouldn’t let Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann even look at the bill when the two fighters from Liverpool visited the Irishman’s pub, Black Forge Inn.
Ahead of UFC 282, Paddy Pimblet was asked about his visit to the Black Forge Inn where he was accompanied by the landlord of the pub, Conor McGregor, via video call. Pimblett and his fighter friend, Molly McCann went to Dublin and had a blast at the Notorious One’s pub. The fighter revealed on media day that his bill was fully taken care of by the superstar who also happens to be one of the highest-earning athletes in the world.
“He paid it all, lad. We didn’t even see it [bill]. He just said he was taking care of it. I was eating and Molly was drinking, so you can imagine how much it was,” said Pimblett hilariously. When the two were on the video call, McGregor was stunned by Pimblett’s size. The Liverpool fighter is notorious for gaining massive amounts of weight during his off-season. Pimblett and McCann are an electric duo and you can guarantee that the two will come with crazy energy.
The Liverpool fighter tasted everything on the Black Forge Inn menu while McCann was downing drinks at the pub. Safe to say McGregor had to take care of a hefty bill from the two fighters. McCann also boasted in a recent interview that she sat at the very seat reserved for McGregor in his pub. But the Irishman has always welcomed top celebrities to his pub and treated them very well.
Conor McGregor talks about a potential fight against Paddy Pimblett
Paddy Pimblett is a very polarising character, much like Conor McGregor. Hate them or love them, both the stars put on a show for the fans and bring nothing short of entertainment into the octagon. McGregor has been out for quite some time now owing to his injury from UFC 264. The fighter at the beginning of his recovery was asked about Pimblett in an interview and the Irishman, surprisingly said he was open to fighting the Scouser.
“He’s a good kid, Paddy. You’ve got to love the Scousers. My father was born in Liverpool. One side of my family is from there so I’ve got a lot of love for that part of the world. Who knows? You know, I will never say no to nothing. You know, never say never, as they say,” said the Notorious One when pitched with the idea of a fight between the two.
Pimblett will now take on Jared Gordon at UFC 282 and the promotion seems to be pushing the Liverpool fighter to become the next big star. Following Jiri Prochazka being removed from the event, Pimblett has been the star of the fight card despite there being several other veteran fighters. Paddy Pimblett is truly an amazing character and draws huge numbers for the promotion.
