“All good between us” – Paulo Costa posts a hilarious edited picture of him on call with Khamzat Chimaev

UFC 280 produced some scintillating moments of exaltation, and defeat. While some fighters lived up to the hype accorded to them, some came up just short.
However, when someone like Khamzat Chimaev, who wasn’t even fighting on the card for UFC 280 finds himself in the thick of action, one really needs to wonder what he must do to keep out of the spotlight. The reason for his being under scrutiny was him getting into an almighty scuffle with Abubakar Nurmagomedov, Khabib’s cousin.
However one puts it, not all bad press is good in the fight game. Khamzat Chimaev’s behavioural issues have gotten him under the eye of the promotion, and this just furthered his newly formed negative image. In a bid to sort things, Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team (including new lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and Abubakar Nurmagomedov) shared a meal with Chimaev, and they collectively put out a video declaring peace.
As you would expect, the first to jump onto the scene was UFC fighter cum Twitter maestro Paulo Costa. He posted a frankly hilarious picture of himself appearing to be on a video call with Khamzat Chimaev and Abubakar Nurmagomedov, titling it, “Thank you guys for a very nice time in this videoconferencing… now is all good between us.”
Khamzat Chimaev and Paulo Costa have been beefing with each other for a little bit now
For those who couldn’t make out – it was clearly an adulterated picture, with the duo not actually calling Costa.
Paulo Costa is no stranger to taking jabs at people – his newest target is the Swede. It all started with Khamzat Chimaev’s failed domination tactic, that he tried on Paulo Costa. Basically, while Costa was training, Chimaev threatened to jump in the cage with him, and piece him up. However, there was no follow-up from the Swede, which made him look not very menacing, ironically.
Since, it feels like Costa has been on top of Khamzat Chimaev, trying to bully him into submission – in each passing media interview, he mentions the welterweight with the now famous moniker, “Gourmet Chen Chen”. If that wasn’t extreme enough, he performed a brazen skit where he put a cap used by Chimaev near his modesty.
Although the two keep tagging each other, it feels like they are destined to meet each other at some point in the near future. Khamzat Chimaev will move up to middleweight at some point, and when he does, Paulo Costa will await him.
