Jim Miller is a veteran of the UFC. He headlined the Fight Night event in which Khabib Nurmagomedov debuted in the UFC. Miller fought 42 times in the UFC, a record in the promotion. He has won 25 times in the UFC, which is also a record. His 22 wins in the lightweight division is also a record. Recently, UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier argued against the concept of Miller in the Hall of Fame.
In his recent appearance on UFC Unfiltered, Miller provided an apt reply for Cormier. Co-hosts of the show, Matt Serra and Din Thomas agreed with what Miller said. This is what Miller said on UFC Unfiltered.
DC had 15 UFC fights, and in his 15 UFC fights, now granted, he ended up getting the title and stuff like that and double champ, we had the same record in my first 15 fights. We had the same exact record, 11 wins, 3 losses, and one no contest. Here I am nearing the end of my third Daniel Cormier career, and my record is almost the same as my first. So, like, in that time, everybody that I've won against, every win that I've got is a finish in this third one. So, like, I'm still here, I'm still performing, you know, I'm still a dangerous guy, tripling, yeah, you know, the champ-champ, right? Like tripling his time in the octagon.Jim Miller via UFC Unfiltered
Cormier, in a past episode of ESPN’s DC and RC, tapped out to the question of Miller in the Hall of Fame. Cormier was against the idea that time served could get you into the Hall of Fame. He cited that Miller had no accomplishments worth getting a Hall of Fame induction.
Many disagreed with Cormier’s assessment at the time. Moreover, even Cormier’s co-host of DC and RC, Ryan Clark, disagreed with Cormier. He argued that Donald Cerrone was in the Hall of Fame and Miller was of a similar ilk. Cormier entered the UFC Hall of Fame in 2022 along with Khabib Nurmagomedov in the modern wing.

Magomed Ankalaev and Johnny Walker will headline the first event of 2024. Moreover, the Fight Night event has UFC veteran Jim Miller in the co-main event against Gabriel Benitez. Furthermore, the fight will be Miller’s 43rd in the UFC, extending his record.
Miller is 4-1 in his previous five fights and fans want Miller to be at UFC 300 after his fight against Benitez. He has already competed at UFC 100 and UFC 200. Moreover, UFC CEO Dana White had already promised a reporter to have Miller at UFC 300.
The Fight Night event in UFC Apex will also have another legend fighting. Andre Arlovski will open the main card against Waldo Cortes-Acosta. Moreover, Arlovski is second behind Miller in total fights in the UFC with 40 fights.
