NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal is a man of many talents. The 4-time championship winner apart from being an NBA legend is also an entrepreneur, analyst, commentator, investor and DJ. Along with many talents, he also has several interests, one of them being the sport of MMA. O’Neal has been good friends with Dana White and will soon be introducing his son Myles O’Neal to the world of UFC.

Shaquille O’Neal has been a fan of UFC for a very long time. Despite a $400 million net worth The former Center also wished to be more directly involved with the organization. He was highly keen on pursuing a career inside the octagon and had also had a few fighters would have likely take fought. While the NBA legend’s dreams of joining UFC are far behind, his son Myles will soon be introduced to the world of UFC but not in the traditional way.

Shaq O’Neal has been pursuing a successful DJ and music-producing career under the stage name of DJ Diesel. O’Neal has a thriving career in the music industry and will be on the cards at the UFC afterparty. He will also be joined by his millionaire son Myles O’Neal who will be taking over for DJ Diesel at an afterparty. On the cards for the afterparty at UFC Vegas, Shaq announced a lineup of artists, including his millionaire son, Myles, and the UFC  Featherweight Champion, Alexander Volkanovski.

This is the second time Myles will play alongside his father and also a promise that took nine years in the making. The 4 time NBA championship winner is highly passionate about the sport of MMA which can be reflected in his son.

Shaquille O’Neal has been a huge fan of MMA ever since 1996. O’Neal was invited to one of Vitor Belfort’s fights and has been a fan after witnessing him. Ever since then the NBA legend has actively involved himself with UFC and has become close friends with Dana White.

Shaquille O’Neal was a part of The Ultimate Fighter’s first season’s promotions which was highly appreciated by Dana White. He once even offered his Orlando estate to the UFC for hosting one of their promotional events. “I had all that space, and I said, ‘Hey, you can use my house free of charge,” said O’Neal. He also stated that he wanted to help Dana White as much as he could. “Listen, anything Dana White needs, he gets from me,” added the NBA icon.

Given Shaq’s love for the organization, White even suggested that he play a more active role in the organization. A possibility that is not completely ruled out by O’Neal. However, he is happy supporting the organization and is impressed with the amount of talent in the sport. White is now on the board of directors for the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation and always attends the organization’s fundraising Gala.
