Ahead of his fight, Swanson made a very bizarre appearance at the media day of UFC Vegas 62. The fighter came in with his glasses and sat mute the entire time while he had his teammate, Dan Argueta answer questions that were meant for him. Argueta explained why the legendary fighter did not want to open his mouth at the presser.

“Cub’s trying to relax his voice a little bit. He’s a had a lot of phone calls and interviews to do,” Argueta said in the presser. “So I decided to fill in. He wanted to test me and he wanted to see if I answer everything correctly for him,” added Cub’s microphone substitute.

Swanson is set to fight Jonathan Martinez in a three-round bout. The veteran makes his return to the octagon after his amazing fight against Darren Elkins back in December 2021. Cub Swanson’s “weird” presser got some hilarious reactions on Twitter.
