Chael Sonnen’s ironic role in the movie ‘Here Comes the Boom’
Many UFC fighters have dabbled in Hollywood. Recently, Conor McGregor became part of the movie, ‘Road House’ starring Jake Gyllenhall. Kamaru Usman had a small role in the movie ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’. Francis Ngannou and Ronda Rousey were part of the Fast Furious franchise.
Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson are part of the Cobra Kai series. Moreover, Woodley acted in numerous Hollywood movies and even a Bollywood movie, ‘Sultan’.
Chael P. Sonnen has acted in only two movies. Both movies resemble his fighting career. ‘The Grudge Match’ showed his typical trash talk. This is a sly dig at him arguing the stoppage to referee Josh Rosenthal at UFC 117 when he taps out to Anderson Silva.
Even though MMA fighters have appeared in movies, they have not had a starring role in a big Hollywood production. However, Conor McGregor is rumored to have a big role in his upcoming movie debut. Nevertheless, with the rising popularity of MMA, the chances of it happening are not slim in the future.
