The NELK boys took the Full Send flag over to Russia where they met and trained with current UFC Lightweight Champion, Islam Makhachev ahead of UFC 284. Makhachev is scheduled to fight UFC featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski in Australia.
In their recent vlog, the NELK boys visited Dagestan after landing in Makhachkala, Russia via Chechnya. The Senders met Islam and his Dagestani training partners and teammates. The vlog was full of beautiful memories for the NELK boys and disciplined given the kind of lifestyle they are used to back in the States.
The NELK boys also met Hasbulla, whose team was the guide and receiver of the Full Send team. Hasbulla aka Mini Khabib is a Dagestani influencer and Tik Tok star renowned for his viral memes and comical videos. Kyle and Cousin, two of the NELK members trained at Makhachev’s gym and also did sprints with the Dagestani team.
On their third day in Dagestan, the Full Send and Happy Dad founders went to meet Hasbulla himself. Upon their meet, the team went on a turbo-charged car ride with the social media star. Hasbulla was accompanied by UFC fighter, Abubakar Nurmagomedov, who also happens to be former LW champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s teammate.
Having come from the USA, team Full Send looked a little intimidated in Russia. However, Abubakar Nurmagomedov comforted them after he showed off his driving skills and zoomed past Russian cops despite speed limit mandates. The move was just to show the Nelk boys that they were safe with Team Hasbulla.

After their first day of training, Islam Makhachev introduced to them the Russian ice bathing technique common among Russian fighters. Kyle, Cousin, and Salim, three of the members of the NELK, were instructed by Makhachev to sit in the sauna for five minutes.
However, the most difficult task was then proposed by Makhachev after he told the NELK boys to get into a frozen pool of ice-cold water. The method is apparently believed to help separate toxins from the blood by warming up in the sauna and freezing up in the cold water.
Dagestan is a place in Russia with extreme climatic conditions and small patches of the communal populace. It is home to some of the finest Sambo wrestling as well as MMA world champions.
