‘As soon as I am done with Wilder and Joshua, I will fight Ngannou in an octagon’ – Tyson Fury ready to take on ‘The Predator’
Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou
Tyson Fury is gearing up for his fight against Deontay Wilder on the 24th of July. The ‘Gypsy King’ will be taking on Wilder in a trilogy fight. Had there not been an arbitrator ruling, the fight would have never come to fruition. It was Anthony Joshua vs Fury that was about to happen after all.
Tyson Fury was recently interviewed by TMZ Sports while making his way up on an escalator. He was asked for his thoughts about UFC’s heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. Fury stated that he had learnt that Ngannou couldn’t wrestle, so he would fight ‘The Predator’ in a stand-up ‘bang out’. Fury assured that he would fight the Cameroonian inside the Octagon, once he is done with Wilder and Anthony Joshua.
“Me and Francis Ngannou in the small gloves, let’s make it happen” – Tyson Fury
Fury had also met with the legendary Nick Diaz recently. Speaking of whom he said: “Nick looks good. Nick is training hard and he is making his comeback.”
It was only after this, Fury mentioned Ngannou. He was quoted as saying, “He did tell me that Ngannou can’t do any wrestling anyway, so we are just looking for a stand-up bang-out.”Me and Ngannou in the small gloves, let’s make it happen. As soon as I am done with Wilder and Joshua, I will fight Ngannou in an octagon, in the four ounce gloves and just punching.”
Francis Ngannou is currently waiting for his next opponent, which would mark his first-ever heavyweight title defense. He was supposed to take on Derrick Lewis, but the ‘Black Beast’ has now been paired to fight Ciryl Gane. The winner of Lewis vs Gane might face Ngannou next.
Fury, on the other hand, has got two big assignments coming up. First up, it is Wilder on the 24th of July. If he manages to get past Wilder, he would face Anthony Joshua. However, things will look entirely different and complicated if Fury loses to Wilder, come the 24th of July.
