Conor McGregor is one of the biggest trash talkers in UFC history. Throwback to one of the highlight moments of TUF 22 when McGregor made fun of Urijah’s chin.

Conor McGregor recently made his appearance as a coach in The Ultimate Fighter 31 against Michael Chandler. But this isn’t the UFC star’s first stint as coach in the TUF series. Back in 2015, in its twenty-second instalment, McGregor and Urijah Faber faced each other as coaches to opposite teams. McGregor is known to use his quick wit and insulting jibes to own his opponent even before entering the octagon. And McGregor proved that in TUF 22 against Urijah Faber.

Right in the first episode, McGregor owned Faber with a quick-witted response to his quirky statement. Conor McGregor, Urijah Faber, and UFC President Dana White were seated together awaiting the preliminary fights. Faber took the opportunity to ask Dana White about the ring girls and inquired where they were. McGregor was quick to respond and hilariously replied, “You should walk around with a card and shake that chin”. While Dana and Conor burst out laughing, Faber did not seem to find the joke very amusing. He looked back dejected and seemed tongue-tied and lost for words.

McGregor and Faber even clashed backstage for a brief period but the beef was settled. They actually went on to become good friends and remain to this day. Conor McGregor went on to defeat Jose Aldo in the iconic 13-second knockout while Urijah Faber fought in their undercard and defeated Frankie Saenz via unanimous decision.

Conor McGregor is back as coach in TUF 31

UFC star Conor McGregor is back in action. McGregor makes his second stint as coach of Team McGregor in the thirty-first instalment of The Ultimate Fighter. ‘The Notorious’ has been away from the UFC scene since 2021.

Ever since the devastating leg injury at UFC 264, McGregor has been away healing and looks forward to making his comeback to the promotion in 2023. Conor McGregor will face fellow TUF coach Michael Chandler later this year. Fans excitedly await the highly anticipated matchup.

The fighters are reportedly expected to face off either in the Lightweight or Welterweight division. McGregor who was in a tiff with the USADA for re-enlisting regulations has reportedly settled the discrepancies and will likely make his return by December 2023. As the first episode got released earlier this week, fans delve into the new season of The Ultimate Fighter. McGregor fans highly appreciate seeing their favorite back in action.
