Jorge Masvidal is set to fight Gilbert Burns at UFC 287. The fight card features the rematch between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya for the Middleweight Championship. The Gamebred fighter has not fought since his devastating loss to hated rival Colby Covington at UFC 272. Michael Bisping’s commentary at UFC 272 foreshadowed Masvidal’s attack on Colby on the street.

After the fight between Colby and Masvidal finished, the two fighters talked trash, leading Michael Bisping to react. He said, “Masvidal is a wild man. If he gets a chance, he’ll take a swing at him. 100 percent.” Bisping and Masvidal had beef when Masvidal had a bout with Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. However, it did not turn into a massive beef, and both fighters have since squashed the beef and remain friendly towards each other.

Michael Bisping was right about Masvidal. He got the chance to take a shot at Colby in a parking lot, and he allegedly broke his tooth. Bisping aptly reveals what the future holds for Masvidal, and Colby remains his best moment as a commentator. Bisping has a Youtube channel where he continues to cover the sport of MMA.

Jorge Masvidal has not won a fight since beating Nate Diaz via doctor stoppage after three rounds of action. Since then, he has lost all his fights, with two coming against Kamaru Usman and one with Colby “Chaos” Covington. Masvidal will look to fight for the title again with a win over Gilbert Burns, as he thinks a potential fight with Leon Edwards will be a money fight for the UFC.

The BMF Champion remains focused on defeating Burns to fight Leon Edwards in the future in a potential title fight. However, at UFC 287, he hopes to help out bettors by helping them cash in on his -380 betting status.

He said, “A lot of you Mother******* gonna clean out Vegas,” on being asked about his underdog status when fighting Gilbert Burns. Masvidal has not won a fight since 2019, leading betting sites to consider him an underdog for his upcoming fights.

Masvidal has made his intentions clear. He hopes to beat Burns at UFC 287 and challenge Leon Edwards for the UFC Welterweight Championship in the future. However, Masvidal has told that he intends to quit if he loses to Burns at the PPV.
